Project Manager / Civil Engineer – Site/Land Development/Public Works

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 per year (DOE)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

ICG is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our team. This role focuses on the planning and design of diverse site development and public works projects, including hydrology, utilities, and roadway improvements. We offer a stable, collaborative environment for professionals looking to lead high-profile projects for public, private, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Engineering: Develop conceptual designs, construction drawings, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil3D and Carlson.

  • Project Coordination: Manage project requirements, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, and internal multi-disciplined teams.

  • Technical Analysis: Conduct independent engineering calculations and prepare comprehensive technical reports/studies.

  • Agency Processing: Navigate planning and design approvals through various public and private agencies.

  • Mentorship: Train and coach junior technical staff to ensure design quality and professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.

  • Experience: 5+ years in civil engineering, specifically within site/land development or public works.

  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.

  • Skills: Strong technical writing and proven experience preparing construction documents and specifications.
